Birds looking to recover against Leopards

Moroka Swallows will look to bounce back from a defeat when they host Black Leopards in an Absa Premiership match at Dobsonville Stadium on Saturday.

Swallows saw an eight-game unbeaten run come to an abrupt end with a 2-0 defeat at Golden Arrows in midweek.

The Soweto side have recorded three wins, two draws and a loss from their six home matches this season.

The Birds are placed fifth on the Absa Premiership log with 21 points from 12 matches.

Leopards were held to a 1-1 draw in their midweek match at home to Jomo Cosmos.

The Limpopo team have picked up one win, two draws and three losses from six away matches this season.

Lidoda Duvha are placed 15th on the Absa Premiership log with 10 points from 12 matches.

In head-to-head stats, Swallows and Leopards have met in 14 league games since 2001/02.

The Birds have eight wins to their name, Lidoda Duvha just the one, and there have been five draws.

Swallows are unbeaten at home in league games against Leopards, having racked up five wins and two draws from seven encounters.

The teams last met in the league in the 2007/08 season. The Birds claimed a league ‘double’ thanks to 1-0 and 3-1 victories home and away respectively.
