Chippa take aim at Bidvest Wits

What the teams are saying

Bidvest Wits coch Gavin Hunt:

“No, I think there is no turning point in football,” Hunt said after beating Ea Lla Koto.

“I think that if a team is working hard like we have been working, the shape is good and we are creating opportunities then things will work out.

“I don’t think that this is a turning point. Sometimes that’s the way football works, if you understand football. One day you are on top and the other day you are at the bottom.

“Hopefully against Chippa we come out on top.”

Chippa United coach Teboho Moloi:

“We are not a finished product yet, we are a product at work. We still need to work hard to be able to change from defence to attack,” said Moloi.

“I had to shut the door first in defence. Going forward, this team never had problems, but in the past when they went forward, they went with numbers and were not aware of what was happening behind them.

“We had to work on that one first. Everything goes with hard work, these boys are prepared to dig in and work very hard.

“We will work hard for a win against Wits.”

Key players for Bidvest Wits

Xola Mlambo: The former Chilli Boys anchor-man has a responsibility to man the midfield and ensure they come out as victors at home. His ability to stop the opponent and initiate their moves will be vital for the hosts.

Amr Gamal: Gamal was on fire last weekend as he helped the club to register a massive win in the cup. However, he will want to continue scoring goals in the league at home.

Key players for Chippa United

Daniel Akpeyi: The Nigerian net minder kept a clean sheet last Sunday as they beat the reigning African champions, Sundowns. Coming to this one, his ability to organise the defence will come under scrutiny.

Samuel Julies: Julies is the man who will be credited for their historical win over the his former side, Sundowns. Coach Moloi will want to use him once again and ensure he builds his confidence.
