Sundowns look to consolidate lead

Mamelodi Sundowns will take on Bloemfontein Celtic in an Absa Premiership match at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Saturday.

Kick-off is at 3:30pm.

The Brazilians recorded their third consecutive win in the league when they defeated Maritzburg United 1-0 in their previous match in Pretoria on Wednesday.

As a result, Sundowns are placed at the top of the league standings with 25 points from 12 games. They are five points above second-placed Orlando Pirates.

Meanwhile, Celtic returned to winning ways in the league when they secured a 3-0 victory over Free State Stars in their previous league game in Bloemfontein last weekend.

The win took Phunya Sele Sele to fourth spot on the league standings with 19 points from 12 games. They are a point behind second-placed Pirates.
