MultiChoice Diski Shield semis KO times confirmed

The Premier Soccer League and MultiChoice have announced that the MultiChoice Diski Shield semifinals will be played at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium on Saturday, 28 April 2018.

The Diski Shield has already proved hugely popular with locals. This past weekend at a festival in Vosloorus, the clubs put ‘A’ performances where a total of 23 goals were scored in 4 matches.

The draw for the semis was conducted on Monday night. The semi-finals, dubbed “The Battle of the Cities” will see 2016/17 MultiChoice Diski Challenge champions Mamelodi Sundowns play reigning Diski champions Lamontville Golden Arrows. Kick-off is at 10h00.

Later on the day, Bloemfontein Celtic will play against Kaizer Chiefs, kick-off will be at 12h00.

Entry is free on the day and tickets can be collected at the stadium on Friday, 27 April 2018 from 13h00. All two matches will be broadcast live on SuperSport 4 and 10.

Football that cares:

All four clubs participating in the Diski Shield semi-finals have adopted a social cause that transcends 90 minutes.

The club that wins the ultimate prize of R150 000 will donate that money towards a community initiative.

  • Bloemfontein Celtic are playing for Fun Park Academy which is based in Bloemfontein
  • Kaizer Chiefs are playing for Emshukantambo High School based in Soweto.
  • Mamelodi Sundowns will play for Mamelodi High School.
  • Lamontville Golden Arrows will play for Durban High School.
