Arrows refresh squad ahead of new season

Golden Arrows have announced numerous changes to their squad ahead of the 2017/18 season.

New signings The club announced the following three signings...

Mzwandile Buthelezi joins us, becoming part of of central defence for the season. He joins us from ABC Motsepe team Acornbush United, but has experience playing for Natal United, Sivusta Stars as well as Liverpool Amaphadi FC in the past. Acornbush did well in the Nedbank Cup, reaching the last 16 where they were knocked out by Kaizer Chiefs.

22-year-old Left back Zolani Nkombela who has also been signed by the club. Previously with Mbombela United, the youngster has had an impressive start to his career. He formed a solid part of United team last season, and performed well, helping to achieve progression to the Last 16 of the Nedbank Cup.

Thabiso Mgwaba also joins us in the strikers division of the squad. The youngster has had previous experience playing for Crystal Palace, Glendale United, Cape Town All Stars and most recently Chippa United. He has built up a fair amount of experience while with the Chilli Boys and is regarded as a formidable addition to the squad.

Contracts extended
Knox Mutizwa and Kudakwashe Mahachi are back with the team and will be playing for us for another season.

Loaned out
Kwanele Hlongwane has been loaned to Royal Eagles for the upcoming 2017/18 season. We wish him well with his time there.

The following players have been released by the club. Lee Langeveldt, Chiukepo Msowoya and Ricardo Goss.
