Wits tackle rejuvenated Downs

Bidvest Wits will welcome Mamelodi Sundowns in an Absa Premiership match at the Bidvest Stadium on Tuesday.

Kick-off is at 7:30pm.

The Clever Boys are brimming with confidence at the moment after booking their place in the 2017 Telkom Knockout Cup final after defeating Kaizer Chiefs 1-0 at home on Saturday.

However, Wits were beaten 2-0 by Chippa United at home in their last league match which was played three weeks ago.

Wits are placed 15th on the league table with eight points from nine matches. The defending league champions are only a point above 16th-placed Platinum Stars.

Meanwhile, Sundowns bounced back to winning ways in the league with a 3-1 victory over Orlando Pirates in a match which was played at the Orlando Stadium three weeks ago.

The Brazilians are placed eighth on the league standings with 12 points from seven matches. They are three points behind second-placed Golden Arrows, who have played 10 games.
