PSL and SuperSport Host Fourth Annual Chairpersons Workshop

The Premier Soccer League (PSL), in partnership with broadcast partner SuperSport, hosted its annual pre-season workshop in preparation for the 2025/26 season.

Now in its fourth year, the workshop serves as a strategic platform for dialogue and exchange of ideas between the League, broadcast stakeholders and member clubs. The session focused on broadcasting, commercial innovation, and opportunities to elevate the viewing experience for spectators.

The gathering was attended by members of the PSL Executive Committee, senior SuperSport Executives, Premier Division Club Chairpersons, and senior club officials.

PSL Chairman Dr Irvin Khoza delivered the opening address, reinforcing the importance of innovation, collaboration, and the continuous growth of South African Football. SuperSport CEO Rendani Ramovha provided an insightful presentation on industry trends and technological innovation in sports broadcasting. His remarks emphasised the need to stay ahead of global developments.

One of the highlights of the workshop was a presentation by Mark Rowles, Betway Africa’s Head of Marketing, who delivered an exclusive preview of the new Betway Premiership campaign, which is set to be unveiled to the public in due course. Club Chairpersons were given a first look at the campaign’s strategic direction ahead of its public launch.

Workshops such as this form an important part of the League’s strategic calendar and ensure that all parties are aligned ahead of kick-off. They reaffirm the PSL’s mission to promote excellence, professionalism, and innovation on and off the field.
