AmaZulu latest arrival Thembela Sikhakhane (24) tells the club website he’s foreseeing a smooth stay at the club as he looks to contribute towards Joey Antipas’ Absa Premiership project alongside other experienced players.

The former Golden Arrows utility man signed a season long loan move from Orlando Pirates with Usuthu with the view to forge much needed defensive cover at full back positions.

“I’m happy to be here. In my first day at training I was welcomed well. It’s just like at home, it’s definitely going to be of benefit to be loaned here.”

“Maybe if I was loaned elsewhere I would have had doubts but since it’s AmaZulu whom I regard as a home club and a club I love I’m comfortable.”

“It’s like I’ve been here for long when it’s only been a few days. We are treating each other well and professionally with my teammates,” said Sikhakhane.

Testimony to the claim on Tuesday, 26 July he scored a screamer against Baroka FC in a morning friendly at Moses Mabhida Stadium Outer Fields. He has featured in a host of training friendly matches and performed with good stead.
