Arrows and Siwelele fire blanks
Golden Arrows remain on course to qualify for the MTN 8 after they played out to a 0-0 draw with Siwelele at the King Zwelithini stadium on Friday, April 24.
An evenly-contested affair in Umlazi saw both teams create several chances to come away with all three points, but they had to settle for a share of the spoils in the end.
Abafana Bes'thende climbed up one place to seventh in the Betway Premiership standings and Lehlohonolo Seema's side remained unmoved in 11th position following a third consecutive draw.
Arrows were seeking their third victory on the spin in a bid to strengthen their position in the top eight, while Siwelele looked to arrest a three-match winless run which left them a further six points back but clear of danger.

The open start to the game saw the visitors go closest to breaking the deadlock when Manelis Mazibuko turned sharply outside the area before flashing a shot wide of the goal.
Isaac Cisse then threatened for Manqoba Mngqithi's side with a strike from range that produced a save out of Ricardo Goss, while back up the other end Edward Maova pulled off a fine save to deny Sphesihle Jeza at close range from a corner.
Jeza had the first sniff at goal in the second half as he took aim from an acute angle, but failed to hit the target before Goss was forced to claw the ball away after Nqubeko Dlamini steered a header at goal from Ntando Nkosi's cross.
Jerome Karelse almost snatched the win for Arrows in the closing stages, only to drag his shot wide of the near post with just Goss to beat.
