Third placed Swallows host wounded Leopards

Moroka Swallows will go in search of a third straight win in the Absa Premiership when they host Black Leopards at Dobsonville Stadium on Saturday, 27 October 2012.

Swallows have racked up back-to-back wins in the league in their last two games, the most recent of which was a 1-0 victory away to Free State Stars.

The Soweto side has won two of their three home games this season, the only aberration being a loss to newcomers University of Pretoria.

The Birds are placed third on the Absa Premiership log with 12 points from seven matches.

Leopards have gone six games without a win and recorded draws in their last three league outings, the most recent of which was 3-3 at home to SuperSport United.

The Limpopo side has recorded two draws and one loss in their three away games so far this season.

Lidoda Duvha are placed 11th on the Absa Premiership log with eighth points from seven matches.

In head-to-head stats, Swallows and Leopards have met in 16 league matches since 2001/02.

The Birds have traditionally dominated the fixture, claiming ten wins compared to just one for Lidoda Duvha.

Swallows have an unbeaten home record against Leopards, with six wins and two draws from eight matches.

Last season the Birds did a league ‘double’ over their Limpopo opponents, winning 4-1 at home and 5-2 away.
