Leopards set for bsttle against Stars

Black Leopards will go in search of just their second home win in the Absa Premiership this season when they host Free State Stars at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday, 15 December 2012.

Leopards suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Mamelodi Sundowns in their last league outing.

The Limpopo side has picked up just seven points from a possible 21 in their seven home matches so far this season.

Lidoda Duvha are placed 10th on the Absa Premiership log with 16 points from 14 matches.

Stars scored a last-gasp goal to defeat regional rivals Bloemfontein Celtic 1-0 last weekend.

The Free State side has racked up two wins, two draws and two defeats from their six away matches so far this season.

Ea Lla Koto are placed sixth on the Absa Premiership log with 21 points from 14 matches.

In head-to-head stats, Leopards and Stars have met in eight league matches since 2001/02.

The Free State side has claimed five wins compared to just one for the Limpopo team, while two matches have ended in draws.

Leopards’ lone win came in a home match back in 2001/02, but they have lost all three in their backyard since then.

Last season Ea Lla Koto took four points off Lidoda Duvha, winning 3-1 away and drawing 2-2 at home.
