Celtic look for quick recovery v Tuks

University of Pretoria and Bloemfontein Celtic will battle for a place in the top eight of the Absa Premiership when they meet at Tuks Stadium on Wednesday, kick-off at 19h30.

The University side have failed to win any of their last eight league matches and played to a third successive draw with a goalless stalemate away to Orlando Pirates on Saturday night.

The top flight rookies have won just one of their 10 home matches so far this season, suffering three defeats in the process.

AmaTuks are placed 10th on the Absa Premiership log with 27 points from 22 matches.

Celtic have won just one of their last four league matches and suffered a 3-0 home loss at the hands of Kaizer Chiefs on Sunday.

The Bloemfontein side has struggled for form away from home, winning just once and suffering six defeats from 11 matches.

Phunya Sele Sele are placed eighth on the Absa Premiership log with 29 points from 22 matches.

In head-to-head stats, Tuks and Celtic have met in the league on just one previous occasion.

That match took place earlier this season, with the Pretoria side claiming a 2-1 away win in Bloemfontein thanks to goals from Niang and Zungu.
