Lamola brace gives Celtic win at Tuks
Lerato Lamola was the hero on the day as Bloemfontein Celtic grabbed a late 2-1 Absa Premiership win over the University of Pretoria on Wednesday night.
In windy conditions in Pretoria, Lamola scored either side of half-time to help Celtic to their third win of the season.
Despite going behind early in the match, Celtic fought from behind and stole maximum points to take home with the them.
Tuks, meanwhile, dropped to second from bottom and are looking like strugglers this season.
Mnyamane wasted little time and had the hosts in front as early as the eighth minute when he coaxed his way through a packed box, before opening his body to slot home with his left foot.
Celtic never looked like letting the deficit get to them and went in search of the equaliser, as Bevan Fransman and Dumisani Zuma asked questions of Tuks' Washington Arubi.
Tuks withstood a barrage of shots and half-chances but would eventually be undone, after a lack of concentration allowed Celtic to advance into the area, before Lamola slotted home into the corner from close range.
Celtic came out firing in the second half. The pair exchanged attempts on goal through Geofrey Massa and Lyle Lakay, both denied at the last second thanks to a goal-line clearance and a superb save from Arubi.
Tuks had their best chance of the half fall to Mnyamane, who was denied his brace by the post, seven minutes from the end.
