What are the teams saying
SuperSport United coach Eric Tinkler:
“That’s why we always talk about having depth in your squad. But you’ve also got to remember we can’t be making seven or eight changes. I doubt there is a team in the world that does it. If you watch the Real Madrid and Barcelonas of this world, players play Wednesday, Saturday and Wednesday," he said.
"What becomes important is how we rest the players in between and how we assess them. We need to make certain changes to certain players we believe need that rest, hence the fact that I have rested Morgan (Gould) and Yeye (Reneilwe Letsholonyane) in the past. That’s the approach we will make going into the Chippa game.”
Chippa United coach Teboho Moloi:
“We have a strong squad that have a variety of players, youngsters and senior players, and it’s good for me and for the team," he said. “Some games I must go with the young players, and some games we will just have to go for senior players, everyone must just work hard and will get his chance to prove his worth.
“This is like a baptism of fire, you come from Rodger De Sa, now Erick Tinkler, this is a game where I will be hoping to get maximum points, but I will settle for a draw, as long as we don’t go home empty handed."
SuperSport United key players
Dean Furman: The hard-working midfielder is one of the top central defensive midfielders in the Absa Premiership and Matsatsantsa's inspirational leader. The SuperSport captain will look to lead by example and help his side overcome the Chilli Boys at home.
Jeremy Brockie: The prolific marksman has established himself as one of the best finishers in the Absa Premiership and a reliable goalscorer for SuperSport. The New Zealand striker will be eager to inspire Matsatsantsa to their third league victory of the season.
Chippa United key players
Sandile Zuke: The midfield maestro is now a key member of the Chippa squad and he has flourished as a central defensive midfielder. The former Kaizer Chiefs player will be hoping to produce a Man of the Match performance and help his side upset SuperSport in Pretoria.
Andile Mbenyane: The versatile attacker remains a very important player in the Chilli Boys team as he is the link between midfield and attack. The 29-year-old player will be keen to play an important role as Chippa overcome Matsatsantsa on Tuesday.
