Arrows or City could top the table after league clash
Golden Arrows are at home to Cape Town City in search of the full three points in the Absa Premiership on Saturday afternoon at Princess Magogo Stadium. Kick-off is at 8:15pm.
Abafana Bes'thende are fresh from a 0-0 draw against Orlando Pirates on the road and will be chasing a win to bounce back to winning ways.
Arrows have started the season well and currently occupy second place on the league table with 16 points from 11 matches, two points behind league leaders Baroka FC and only ahead of Cape Town City in third place on goal difference.
City coach Benni McCarthy, though, is also struggling when it comes to wins after playing to a 1-1 draw against log leaders Baroka FC last Tuesday.
The winner of this clash could well see themselves at the top of the league table come the end of the weekend provided results in other matches go their way.

What the teams are saying:
Golden Arrows defender Siyabonga Dube:
“Look, this is not an easy game for both sides because we are looking for the full three points. The aim is to ensure we win the game at home,” said Dube.
“We played well against Pirates and we were unfortunate not to use our chances to score, but all is not lost as we will keep working hard.
“If you look at the log table, from number one to number eight, the difference is three points or two points and that means everyone can beat anyone. However, we are ready to ensure we get into the final third and convert our chances and we will be solid at the back.”
Cape Town City midfielder Mpho Matsi:
“Yeah, we are ready for the trip to Arrows and we will fight very hard to come back with the full three points,” said Matsi.
“We did not do well against Baroka because we were fresh from a three week break. We struggled in the first half a bit, but improved in the second half.
“In my view, we will be better against Arrows as all of us have 90 minutes under the belt. The mission is to win and remain near the top of the log. We know they also want a win and ensure they are on top, but I expect a top game of football.”
Key players for Golden Arrows:
Siyabonga Dube: Dube had a great game against the Soweto giants on Tuesday and will now hope to see his teammates at the back ensuring they keep another clean sheet. His runs down the right flank will be vital for the side.
Nkanyiso Cele: Cele played well against Pirates in the heart of the park, linking up well with the defence. He will hope to do the same when they face the Mother City side at home.
Key players for Cape Town City:
Teko Modise: Modise will come as a threat to this game because of his defence splitting passes. He will need to be watched by Arrows as he will want to dictate the terms in the heart of the field.
Thamsanqa Mkhize: The Bafana defender will want to do well in front of his fans in the KwaZulu-Natal province where he hails from. Facing Arrows will push him to go for a win as he used to play in the KZN derby for his former side, Maritzburg United.
