Mkhwanazi condemns Chippa to another defeat

Buhle Mkhwanazi scored a late goal for Bidvest Wits as they registered a 1-0 Absa Premiership win over Chippa United at Sisa Dukashe Stadium in Mdantsane on Tuesday evening.

Victory moves the Clever Boys up to second place on the log standings, four points behind league leaders Kaizer Chiefs who beat Golden Arrows in Soweto at the same time. The Chilli Boys drop down to the bottom of the table following a fourth defeat in eight games.

AmaZulu scored a late winner to move above the Chilli Boys who remain winless in the league this season.

Following a goalless 89 minutes of soccer, the goal finally came as Deon Hotto teed up Mkhwanazi who bagged his first goal of the campaign to lead the visitors to all three points.

Chippa will now have almost four weeks to prepare for their next fixture under new head coach Norman Mapeza, while the Clever Boys next host Supersport United in the league.
