Reigning DStv Diski Challenge (Diski Challenge) champions, SuperSport United have safely arrived in the United Kingdom (UK) where a trip of a life-time awaits them.

The 2022/23 Diski Challenge title race went all the way down to the penultimate round of the season where Matsatsantsa pipped Cape Town City FC and Orlando Pirates to top honours after the two sides had failed to collect maximum points.

The Pretoria side had romped to a 3-0 win over Swallows FC the previous day, and the failure of their title rivals to win the next day resulted in United becoming the champions, joining a long list of teams that have lifted the prestigious title.

Over the 9-day trip, the team will get to experience several exciting and empowering activities which include a sightseeing tour of London, training sessions at state-of-the-art training complexes, academy knowledge sharing, a visit to the South African embassy in the UK, and the opportunity to watch defending Premier League champions Manchester City take on last season’s runner-up, Arsenal, in the Premier League’s curtain raiser match, the Community Shield.

Also thrown in the mix are friendly matches against Bristol City and Queens Park Rangers (QPR), giving the youngsters an opportunity to showcase South African football in the UK.
