Peter Mokaba Stadium to host 2026 Nedbank Cup final
The Nedbank Cup officially set the stage for its highly anticipated final, following the conclusion of the Final Draw held on Thursday at the SuperSport Studio. The showpiece event will be hosted at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane where fans can expect an electrifying atmosphere as two remarkable journeys collide on one of South African football’s biggest stages.
This year’s final carries a compelling narrative, with Durban City Football Club set to host TS Galaxy as the home team in their first-ever Nedbank Cup final appearance - a milestone moment that reflects the tournament’s enduring reputation for providing a national platform to rising teams.
TS Galaxy return to the Nedbank Cup final for only the second time in their history. The club famously lifted the trophy in 2019 after a memorable victory over Kaizer Chiefs, cementing their place as one of the competition’s most inspiring success stories.
As South Africa’s premier knockout football competition edges closer to its thrilling conclusion, the Final Draw has determined the “home” team designation, setting the stage for what promises to be a spectacular showdown.
The Nedbank Cup has once again captured the imagination of football fans across the country, delivering unforgettable moments, dramatic upsets, and inspiring performances. From giant-killing acts to breakthrough campaigns, this year’s edition has truly embodied the spirit of South African football.
Beyond the action on the pitch, the tournament has continued to celebrate fan involvement through initiatives such as the Score Your Loan competition- reinforcing the idea that supporters are not just spectators, but an integral part of the Nedbank Cup experience. To date, 43 winners have collectively received R679 462.47 towards clearing their personal loans, highlighting the tangible impact of the competition in rewarding and supporting fans.
As part of the Nedbank Fan Team initiative, supporters have the opportunity to be selected to join teams led by football legends Teko Modise and Andile Jali, bringing fans even closer to the action through engaging content and interactive challenges.
